My feet were wet through within minutes of walking through town on a rainy day - by passing the puddles.

I have worn these for quite some time and love the comfort. I am disappointed though that they are/were in fact, not waterproof. The shop where I purchased them were not interested other than to say that perhaps or the price that is all I could expect!!
I spray them regularly which does help.

I'd like to say good things about this shoe (since I got a pair for £40), but I'm afraid there's a few shortcomings.

True, they are waterproof, but the side plastic seal on mine broke within a few weeks of normal usage, giving me a wet foot for the next 2 miles of my walk. (ended up gluing the split with rubber glue)

Comfort-wise, they're not as good as my previous Salomon shoes.
the laces dont really move freely through the eyelets resulting in an awkward fiddle when putting them on.
Cant really see them lasting the 2 years that my Salomon's lasted for, but maybe I'm asking too much for £40.??

I purchased these 2 months ago. I initially found them to fit really well. The oversize tongue allows you to really pull the laces to get a snug fit. When new the laces "spring back" until you have laced up a few times. Feel really good to walk in. Very light and well balanced. However the 2 small raised "horns" on the back of the shoe caused me a bit of discomfort for the first week until I had got used to them. The best purchase I have made for a long time!
